Anyone who's lived in the Salt Lake Valley for a full year knows the air has personalities. January inversion. April cottonwood pollen. June grass. August ozone. The body's immune response to inhaled allergens isn't one thing — it's histamine, leukotrienes, IgE, and the downstream nutrient demand to clear them.

The "allergy drip" we recommend most often during peak Wasatch Front allergy season has four core components. **High-dose Vitamin C** functions as a natural antihistamine — at IV doses, it modulates histamine release in a way oral doses don't reach. **Quercetin** stabilizes mast cells, the immune cells that release histamine; it's available in some IV protocols and many oral supplements pair well with the drip.

The Salt Lake Valley's air doesn't move. Whatever the season is putting in the air, you're breathing more of it for longer.

**Glutathione** matters because allergens drive oxidative stress, and your detoxification pathways run on glutathione. Restoring it directly bypasses what the gut might be too inflamed to absorb.

**B-complex** keeps energy levels stable during the systemic inflammatory load that severe allergies create. Brain fog and fatigue during allergy season are real and largely metabolic.

For the worst weeks of the allergy calendar — typically late April through mid-June and again in August — many of our clients schedule weekly drips. The cumulative effect is often the difference between functioning at 50% and functioning at 90%.

None of this replaces antihistamines if you need them. It's an upstream intervention that often reduces how much rescue medication you need to take.
